I have chose to do the theme detail as I have a big camera lens thats perfect for close up and detail pictures so I think I just have a good advantage in getting a close up detail picture. Couple of ideas I have had are using a macro lens to get close up and a telephoto which is just a zoomed in picture from far away and to see the difference between them and compare them and see how much its changed it.
Detailed Analysis.
Whaley's photograph is hypnotic dream like with the images that were photographed, the first thing that catches your eyes are the butterfly as its the brightest thing in the picture so its the first thing you would see as the background is darker and dim, the butterfly is quite bold , but the images has a vintage feel/look to it. Whaley's image is also organised and in a way mentally calming.
Arnott's picture seems rotten and 'dead', the lighting is also dark and gloomy it also has a good amount of texture due to the raised slits in the tissue paper and on the pieces of food in the image/growing mould or flaking off so give us the idea of how long it has just been sitting there. Arnott's images also seem very chaotic and unorganised.
Whaley's images seem to be made by adding an object or another image then once she was happy with the setup of it she took a final picture of it. As I said before the butterfly is quite bold and has lines and circles the photographer has captured the play of light by properly having studio lights so it looks more detailed and brighter so it will stand out more.
Where as Arrant"s pictures were taken in a rubbish tip and the lighting is very dull. There is also a lot of shadows from where some natural light has got into the image as he was taking it, the textures of the food is flakey and dry from where they've been there for so long and they also look rotten and decayed these photographs interest me because its not a normal thing you would see everyday.
From exploring these images I have learnt that any images can be described in a lot of detailed with a lot of different describing words and how one image can have a lot of detail and how good it can be analysed.

Photo Fanzines.
I made these fanzines by being creative and finding different objects to create like a booklet of what you've created.
Experiments with detailed photography.
WWW: I got close to the sticks and leaves and showed the details in the sticks.
EBI: If I was to attempt taking these pictures again, then I would change the sticks and leaves that I used and swap them with flowers.

My final pieces.
Evaluation
For unit 2, I chose the theme detail, I chose this because I loved taking pictures that has a lot of detail because if gives character to the picture (depending what it is). I also chose this theme because I thought that I would have a range of things/objects to take pictures of because everything has so much detail. I have developed so many ideas in the past few months that I never used in my exam which I think was a good idea because I didn't feel like it would of turned out right, if I was to do it again I would defiantly try different ideas out and be more creative.
I tried many experiments during this exam some did fail very badly and didn't turn out how I thought it would so I scraped them and came up with something I thought I could get a good mark for.
To create a personal response of my final outcome, I used some detailed pictures that I took a few weeks before the exam and I decide to use them because it showed a clear understanding of the theme I chose. I arranged them in a up, down, up, down pattern then on each picture I placed silver metallic tape around the edges of each one after that was done I hot glued buttons on each corner. This is something I wouldn't of done but for this exam I went out of my comfort zone to be more creative to try and get the best grade I can. With this final piece I was very hesitant to do this as to me it felt like I wasn't going to get the best grade but I went on with it and in the end it turned out to be one of the final pieces I was happy to say I was proud of.
Overall, I am very happy with how my final piece came out,If I was to redo this again I would try out more of my ideas and see what worked well and kept going with the idea I had and I could of made a final piece out of it
